It was an honour to work alongside Simon in a project that aimed to reach, engage and involve people who live with long term pain with research. He was a valued member of the team and I was struck by his committed desire to improve the lives of people. My impression was that he knew what mattered to him and he did what he could to make the world a better place, even to the end of his life. His passing is a loss.
